UNVEILING OF THE CALIFORNIA 200 MEMORIAL MONUMENT Off-Road community members, racers, volunteers and companies in partnership with the Bureau of Land Management will gather on Saturday, October 9, at 10:30 a.m. at the 2010 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo for the unveiling of the California 200 Memorial Monument, a large scale statue designed to honor the victims of the recent desert race accident where eight were killed and 12 injured.  The need for a public unveiling is evident with the outpouring of concern & support the industry and fans off-road have shown over the past few weeks since the tragedy at Lucerne Valley.  “The California 200 incident impacted the off-road community and industry at large,” said Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo Show Director, Tom Gattuso.  “We were honored to be asked to host the unveiling and have plans to make the monument a centerpiece of this year’s event.”  The monument is comprised of steel and concrete and is in the final building stages. The public can all make their mark on the monument as well in the form of a wall available for all to sign and show their support for victims and their families.  After the public unveiling on Saturday, October 9, at 10:30 a.m., the statue and the wall will remain on display throughout the weekend at the expo and then both will be placed permanently at the desert crash site.

LUCAS OIL OFF-ROAD RACING EXHIBITION Lucas Oil is bringing some VROOM to this year’s Off-Road Expo on a new specially-designed course located right in the heart of the event.  The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Exhibition Course will feature two high-powered, high-jumping race trucks from the Pro 4 Unlimited and Pro 2 Unlimited classes on the track simultaneously.  Professional drivers will demonstrate in ten-minute, frequently repeated sessions what these amazing 800-plus horsepower V8-powered machines can do.  Spectators will find out first hand why Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing is the newest and most popular form of off-road racing being telecast coast-to-coast.

LUCAS OIL MAV-TV LIVE AT OFF ROAD EXPO Check the big screens located throughout the 2010 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo.  You’ll see a brand-new show feature as Lucas Oil MAV TV goes live on location. From a studio located on the stage in the Main Building (#4) at the Fairplex, Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing’s premiere commentator Ken Stout will interview drivers, celebrities, stars of off-road racing, industry leaders, and present features on the latest, must-have off-road products.  MAV-TV will also be roaming the Fairplex capturing the Expo’s sights, sounds, people, and performance products for the screens and for future MAV-TV programming.

FREESTYLE MOTOCROSS We’re turning up the knob on the thrill meter to 11 this year as we welcome a top FMX motorcycle thrill team to this year’s Off-Road Expo.  See FMX legend Keith Sayers, Winter X Games gold medalist Heath Frisby and Top level FreeRider Steve Haughelstine rip it up with some high-flying aerial action.  Keep the camera handy as these gravity-defying daredevils show that off-road sometimes means “way above the road”.

MISS OFF ROAD EXPO CONTEST The ladies of off-road will take to the Main Stage for the Miss Off-Road Expo Contest on Sunday. RC CARS Check out the RC dirt tracks with professional drivers taking their scale models of the vehicles they drive in real life through all the turns on 2 specialty built RC courses.   Test your reflexes against pro drivers or just take one for a spin in between races to enjoy RC off-roading at its finest.

MEET THE SAN DIEGO CHARGERS CHEERLEADERS Make sure to stop by the KCAL 96.7 ROCKS booth and meet the San Diego Chargers Cheerleaders.  These lovely ladies will be signing autographs, taking pictures with fans and selling the official calendar of the San Diego Chargers Cheerleaders Saturday only.

LIVE MUSIC ON THE MAIN STAGE Check out live bands at the Main Stage throughout event weekend with music styles will ranging from acoustic guitar to reggae to rock, all brought to you by your favorite rock station, KCAL 96.7.

The 2010 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo will take place Saturday, October 9, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, October 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Held at the Pomona Fairplex, located at 1101 W.
